How to Measure Your Dog 

 

When sizing your dog's collar, have it sit in front of you and use a soft tape measure around its neck, allowing two fingers between the neck and tape. This extra space ensures the collar is about 2” larger than the neck (1” for very small dogs). Measure the chest girth just behind the front legs for an accurate fit. To determine length, start from the bottom of your dog's neck and measure to the end of its back. Keep in mind that some clothes may not stretch past the back legs, so consider both measurements and breed recommendations.
